Bethel is an outdoor wonderland at all seasons of the year. You can hike, canoe, kayak, swim, mountain bike, golf, fish. In the winter you can downhill ski, cross-country ski, snowmobile, go dogsledding. If you wish you can rent equipment and/or get guide service.

Here at the House...

In the summer you can relax by the pond, listening to birds during the day, tree frogs at night. You can sit under the trees or walk the trails in the woods here, or hike in the White Mountains or the Mahoosuc Range.

We will make arrangements for guided canoe trips on nearby rivers and lakes, or we can direct you to the golf course back in town, if that is your wish. This is the ideal hopping-off place for leaf-peeping in the fall through Evans Notch, Grafton Notch, and the Rangeley area.

In the winter you can skate on the pond, Cross-Country ski on the trails here, or head off for nearby Sunday River, where you will find the finest downhill slopes in the northeast.
